Around 48 percent voting was recorded in the first six hours in Jharkhand in the fourth phase of the assembly polls on Sunday.

While a maximum 57 percent electorate exercised their franchise in Chandankyari assembly segment of Bokaro district, a minimum 33 percent votes have been cast in Bokaro constituency.

A young voter, Unnati, said corruption was the main issue for her.

"Corruption is the main problem. I want a government which can end corruption and solve the problems of the local people," she said in Dhanbad.

Another voter, Kumar Gaurav, said he was voting for a leader who could provide them development.

"We are voting for a government in Jharkhand but also a local leader who can bring development to his constituency," he said.

A total of 217 candidates, including 16 women, are in the fray for this phase and voting is going on under tight security.

The polling today was held for 15 assembly segments spread over four districts of Bokaro, Dhanbad, Giridih and Deoghar.
