American talk show host Jimmy Fallon unveiled the first pick of the 'Tonight Show Summer Reads' book club for the month of July.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, 'Children of Blood and Bone' by Tomi Adeyemi; a fantasy trilogy was chosen as the first book.
The fantasy trilogy made the cut with a total of140,000 votes.
"This is the jam right here," Fallon said after unveiling it on 'The Tonight Show'.
In his show, Fallon also pointed out that Adeyemi has often been compared to both J.K. Rowling and George R.R. Martin.
On June 22, when the late-night host launched the first ever book club, which is called the "Tonight Show Summer Reads", he requested the audience to vote for the favourite books they would read with him on his upcoming vacation in July.
The five books that were chosen for the vote were- 'Providence' by Caroline Kepnes, 'Children of Blood and Bone' by Tomi Adeyemi, 'The Immortalists' by Chloe Benjamin, 'The Good Son' by You-Jeong Jeong and 'IQ' by Joe Ide.
