JK Rowling's detective novels, which she had published under her male nom de plume Robert Galbraith, are being adapted for small screen.
According to the BBC, the novels 'The Cuckoo's Calling' and 'The Silkworm,' which feature private detective Cormoran Strike, will be made into TV shows, with the assistance of the 49-year-old 'Harry Potter' author.
While the number of episodes for the series have been in discussion, it is still unclear when it would air.
Rowling's 'A Casual Vacancy' has already been made into a mini-series by BBC and HBO and would broadcast in February 2015, and the production company Bronte Films, which worked on the drama, would also take responsibility for the new crime story.
Danny Cohen, BBC director of television said that it was a wonderful coup, and with the rich character of Cormoran Strike, he was sure the shows would be "event television across the world."
The Cuckoo's Calling had become one of the bestsellers when it emerged last year that Rowling had penned the book under a male pseudonym, and the author said that it was a "liberating experience" to have written with an unknown identity.
