In its quest to help women on a career break make a comeback, JobsForHer will host 'RestartHer', a conference and career fair in Bangalore on September 16 this year.
RestartHer provides opportunities for companies to improve their diversity ratios and hire experienced professionals - available at no notice period, and waiting to jump back in, feet first. Companies which are paving way for women to get back to work include large enterprises like Epsilon (Platinum Sponsor), Diageo and Facebook (Gold Sponsors), Caterpillar, Citibank, Dell, Ezetap, Manipal Group, Myntra and Thomson Reuters.
There will be companies recruiting women across industries ranging from banking, tech, FMCG, operations, healthcare, education, and so on, in functional areas ranging from marketing, sales, software development, HR, and writing, across experience levels ranging from 2-20 years and in job types from full-time, part-time, work-from-home, freelance as well as returnee programs.
"RestartHer is a unique, day-long intensive career re-entry event, which will give women the necessary tools, confidence and connections to help them return to work. Besides networking opportunities at the Career Fair, there will be a host of panel discussions with industry leaders at the Conference, a speed mentoring zone and reskilling workshops with career experts as well," said Neha Bagaria, Founder and CEO, JobsForHer
More and more companies in India are realising the importance of diversity and inclusion, and are welcoming women returnees back to work with custom returnee programmes, returnships, flexible and work from home job options and so much more.
The conference is aimed at career-break women, who can gain a customised return-to-work plan and connections with employers interested in hiring returnees. This can bring a lot more optimism, confidence and energy into the second innings of their career journeys.
