John Lennon's iconic 1966 Beatles classic 'Paperback Writer' has recently been sold for 358,000 pounds at the auction.
The Gretsch 6120 Chet Atkins Nashville model hollow body guitar was bought by American collector, Jim Irsay, the Mirror reported.
Mr Irsay paid Lennon's cousin David Birch 358,000 pounds for the guitar after it failed to sell at auction.
The guitar was famously given to Birch when he visited the Lennons in their Weybridge home in late 1967.
Apparently Birch had asked the English singer if he had a guitar that he no longer wanted as he was trying to get a group together with some mates at the time.
