US Senator John McCain has called Dennis Rodman an idiot, signaling strong disapproval of the former NBA star's growing friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
Calling him a 'dangerous idiot' on the "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV, the Arizonan further went on to say that Rodman is giving a good propaganda to the most brutal man on the earth.
According to the Washington Times, the reaction was triggered soon after Rodman organized an exhibition basketball game for the dictator and sang him a birthday song.
Rodman and 11 other American basketball players flew to Pyongyang to play a North Korean team on the occasion of the despot's 31st birthday on Wednesday.
Referring to Kim as his 'friend for life', Rodman recently went on to support the tyrant on CNN, for handing out 15 years of labor camp to America's Kenneth Bae on unclear charges of distributing religious materials in the country, inviting widespread criticism.
