John Travolta resurrects disco moves in cheesy booze ad

John Travolta revived his signature dance moves for a cringe-worthy commercial for a Brazilian brand of rum.

In the new ad, the Hollywood star, who got famous for his hip swing in the movie 'Saturday Night Fever', can be seen larking around with a trio of shirtless footballers on the beach, the Sun reported.

In the video, Travolta portrays himself as a lonely American traveller, who is recognised for his fame by a beautiful woman on a jog and a merchant with a stall on the walkway.

The next scene shows Travolta, now in an upbeat mood, strutting along with his famous bouncy walk and he soon encounters some young men playing football on the beach.

The ball then comes rolling over to Travolta and he scores a goal with an impossible shot that miraculously ricochets off a coconut tree straight into the goal.

He is then seen making a toast with his football buddies in a bar, uttering the company's slogan "Vamos Brasilizar".
