John Williams' Star Wars soundtrack voted top movie theme of all time

John Williams' composition for Star Wars has been named the best movie soundtrack of all time in a new poll.

According to the survey, which was conducted by the BBC, the second position was filled by Ennio Morricone's score for 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly,' Metro.co.uk reported.

The top score is from the original Star Wars film that was later retitled 'Episode IV: A New Hope'.

The list also features, Hans Zimmer's music for 'The Dark Knight Rises', Hammerstein soundtrack to 'The Sound of Music,' and music from Vertigo and Grease.
