A judge has given an extension for Amanda Bynes' stay in hospital under psychiatric care for another month.

'What a Girl Wants' star has been in the facility for 17 days now, and her stay had already been extended from the original three-day hold, the Mirror reported.

If a judge had not ordered the extension, the 28-year-old would have been released yesterday, who had completed a six-month rehabilitation treatment program last year, is reportedly to be "very ill."

On its website, the hospital has said that it provided "a wide range of behavioral health care treatment options and offered for patients with psychiatric, chemical dependency, or co-occurring disorders."

Amanda's parents Rick and Lynn, had created an elaborate ruse to get her committed after a series of bizarre incidents and she's not happy about it one bit according to TMZ.
