Australian golf ace Adam Scott will reportedly play the part of 'junior', both from an age standpoint and career accomplishments, in the final pairing on Sunday with Fijian star Vijay Singh in the Australian Masters at the Royal Melbourne golf course.

The Hall-of-Fame bound Singh has thrice tasted the major success, which Scott, who holds the mantle of No.2 player in the world, relished in Augusta this year.

According to The Age, Singh exploded with a tournament-best round of 63 on Saturday that turned the tournament on its head after he slipped as far as seven shots off the pace, although the defending champion still leads by four shots.

The report mentioned that while Singh will cast a legendary shadow over every tee, Scott has shown only fleeting moments of vulnerability in what has otherwise been a master class three rounds.

Two bogeys on Saturday, which was Scott's just second and third this week, turned what at one stage looked like a course-record-threatening third round into another rock-solid 66 to go with his earlier rounds of 66 and 67, the report added.
