Goans showcased a spirited performance as they registered convincing 2-0 win over Bengaluru Hockey Association in their Pool A clash of the 8th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2018 (B Division) here on Monday.
Goals for Goans Hockey were scored by Veena Naik (1') and Riya Salgaonkar (27').
In the other Pool A match, Andhra Pradesh defeated Madhya Bharat 7-0 where goals were scored by Spandana Bokam (42', 51', 57'), Kalyani Swarna Poodi (21', 48'), skipper Mary Lotla (36') and Bhavani Madugula (40').
In Pool B, Manipur Hockey registered their first win of the competition as they defeated Puducherry 23-0. Goals for Manipur were scored by Daina Devi Ningombam (3', 4', 25', 26', 29', 31', 35', 44'), Nirupama Thounaojam (8', 24', 46', 52', 53', 55', 68'), Shileima Chanu Khaidem (61', 63', 66', 69'), Deena Devi Naorem (42', 57'), Bebika Chanu Chandam (34') and Ronika Chanu Kangjam (50').
Whereas, Bihar maintained their top-spot in Pool B as they played out a 2-2 draw with Assam. Goals for Hockey Bihar were scored by Rajina Marandi (15') and Kajal Lakra (42') while Maxima Xalxo (18') and Sakshi (34') scored for Assam.
In Pool C, Rajasthan defeated Sports Authority of Gujarat - Hockey Academy 3-1 to register their third successive victory of the competition. Goals for Rajasthan were scored by Reena Saini (15'), skipper Beena Pandey (24') and Shamandeep Kour (61') while Shivangi Solanki (63') scored the only goal for Sports Authority of Gujarat - Hockey Academy.

In the other Pool C match, Telangana beat Bengal Hockey Association 1-0 as Meghana Reddy Vankeshwaram scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute.
In Pool D, Kerala defeated Himachal 3-0 to remain top of the pool standings as KM Ashika (9', 19') and S Swetha (25') scored the goals for the victors.
