Following his crucial role in the European Team's win at Gleneagles last weekend, former US Open champion Justin Rose kept the adrenaline level high by exhibiting his shot-making skills from the wings of a British Airways Boeing 747 during a charity event in London.
To celebrate its partnership with the 34-year-old golfer, the British Airways organized an event to raise funds for the Kate and Justin Rose Foundation which was established by the star golfer and his wife to inspire children through nutrition, education and experiences, reported Sport 24.
Standing on the wing of the 747 aircraft, which has a wingspan of 64 meter and an average height of 6.1 meter above the ground, Rose hit a target 180 yards away to secure the flights for the charity.
Commending his team's outstanding performance in the Ryder Cup tournament, Rose said that he was excited to carry the adrenaline rush from Gleneagles to the wings of British Airways aircraft 747 and expressed his gratitude to the airline for donating flights to his foundation.
He was joined by former England football captain and BBC Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker, ex-Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp, former England and Arsenal striker Ian Wright and fashion icon, Jodie Kidd at the airline's engineering hangar.
