K. Rosaiah to hold additional charge as Karnataka Governor

President Pranab Mukherjee today appointed K Rosaiah, Governor of Tamil Nadu, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Karnataka, in addition to his own duties.

A press communique from Rashtrapati Bhavan, said: "K. Rosaiah, Governor of Tamil Nadu, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Karnataka, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Karnataka are made vice H.R. Bhardwaj, who completes his tenure on 28.06.2014."

Similarly, Mukherjee has appointed Vakkom Purushothaman, Governor of Mizoram, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Tripura, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Tripura are made vice Devanand Konwar, who completes his tenure tomorrow.

A press communique also said that the President has accepted the resignation of Nagaland Governor Ashwani Kumar.

Krishant Kant Paul, Governor of Meghalaya, has been appointed to discharge the functions of the Governor of Nagaland, in addition to his own duties, until regular arrangements for the office of the Governor of Nagaland are made, it added.
