Karnataka Home Minister MB Patil faced strong protests from fellow legislators even as he clarified that zero traffic was not provided to the rebel leaders.

Speaking at Vidhana Soudha, MB Patil said, "Only because Governor had asked us to provide them (rebel MLAs) security, we did that. Zero traffic was not provided to them."

However, Congress legislator HK Patil expressed his displeasure at the statement and said, "Let the Home Minister investigate about this again as everyone has seen how they were given zero traffic. MB Patil will have to gather more information and he has to find out who gave the permission."

Moreover, objecting strongly over MB Patil's stand of not providing zero traffic, JD(S) MLA, AT Ramaswamy walked out of the Vidhana Soudha

Ramaswamy had said, "If Home Minister is lying blatantly in front of the House, how I can stay here?"

Earlier in the day, Ramaswamy had raised the question on rebel MLAs being provided zero traffic to reach the airport.

Zero traffic is a signal-free passage that traffic police arrange during VIP movement.
