Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday asserted that instead of issuing statements on a sensitive issue like Kairana 'migration' issue, it is better to act cautiously and find a solution to the problem.
Talking about the achievements of the Central Government in Conference of Intellectuals here, he said that the Home Ministry has sought report in this regard and necessary action would be taken as required.
The Home Minister also said that there has been a drop of 50 percent in infiltration bids from across the border since Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government took charge.
He further said that that terrorism and Naxal incidents has also been reduced to 37 to 40 percent. However, he admitted that a lot more needs to be done to further rein in such activities.
According to reports, the police have ordered a probe into the alleged migration after Singh presented a list of 346 families from the Muslim-majority town while claiming that they had to leave their homes after attacks and extortion attempts.
