The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has decided to conduct a narco analysis test on former Kerala Land Revenue Commissioner and suspended IAS officer T.O. Sooraj.

The test will take place in relation to the Kalamassery land grab case in the state.

Sooraj had earlier approached the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Ernakulam informing it of his willingness to undergo the narco-analysis test.

However, the court directed him to approach the CBI for the test.

According to reports, the land grab took place during Sooraj's stint as the Land Revenue Commissioner.

The CBI had on June 3 arrested three revenue officials in connection with the Kalamassery land grab case, involving the relatives of Salim Raj, a former gunman of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.

The names of those arrested are E Murad, 49, sixth accused, Poochakal, Cherthala, former special tahsildar of Thrikkakara village, Sabu K S,, 53, of Changampuzha Nagar, Edappally, former village officer Thrikkakara, and Gheevarghese E C, 47, of Mulanthuruthy, a upper division clerk with the Ernakulam Collectorate.

The CBI has charged them with offences under Indian Penal Code Section 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), IPC 471 (using forged document as genuine documents) and IPC 511 (committing offence of cheating) r/w IPC 420 (cheating).
