The actress is excited about her upcoming film 'Margarita with a Straw' where she will be seen portraying the role of 'Laila', a teenager with raging hormones, who happens to be in a wheelchair and falls in love with a girl.

To come close to the character with cerebral palsy, Koechlin put in a lot for preparations and spent time with filmmaker Shonali Bose's cousin, Malini Chib, to get the nuances of her character right.

The film's trailer has already opened a debate about issues concerning sexuality of disabled people. Through her role, the 31-year-old actress has pushed the envelope as she has to chosen to stay away from stereotyping and opting for roles that push her as a performer.

Talking about her acting mantra, Bollywood starlet said, "Lot of rehearsal might seem very simple but good looks are not enough to survive in the industry and one needs to be constantly good at what they do. A lot of energy in body and mind, ability to take rejection, love of learning are essential pre-requisites to be a good actor".

The actor feels that the will to work hard is the biggest strength but the actress also said that she needs to work on her Hindi speaking skills, which she considers as her weak point.
