Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Kalraj Mishra is hoping that India and China ink a pact for the promotion of small scale industries during the ongoing visit of President Jinping.

Mishra said, "Details of the Chinese president talks with the Prime Minister will be known later. The MoU has been signed for an eatables technological park here. I am sure it will include small scale industries."

President Jinping's three-day visit is expected to focus largely be on ramping up bilateral trade and investment, besides addressing the contentious border issue between the two Asian giants.

He will be accorded a ceremonial reception at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Thereafter, he will visit Rajghat to pay homage at the memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi before commencing delegation-level talks.

On Wednesday, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a one-to-one discussion at the Hyatt Hotel in Ahmedabad after which both sides inked three memoranda of understanding.
