The two-day 31st national conference of the Kannada speaking people which ended in Delhi on Sunday, urged Central Government to clear all pending projects of Karnataka.
The conference, which was organized by 'Dehali Kannadiga', a Kannada monthly published from Delhi, asked Union Government to implement Hubli-Ankola railway line project, introduce passenger service between Bangalore-Mangalore and include Tulu and Kodava languages of Kannada script in the eight schedule of the constitution.
The conference, which was inaugurated by Dr. Meena Chandavarkar, Vice Chancellor, Karnataka State Women's University on April 5 and presided by Dr. S. Ayyappan, well-known agricultural scientist, secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education and Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research.
