After winning 12 seats in recently concluded by-polls in Karnataka, the Chief Minister is all set to expand his Cabinet with remaining 15 portfolios, but he is waiting for a call from Delhi, sources shared.

They added that as the end of December 2019 is "auspicious," Yediyurappa has decided to expand Cabinet in January. He is tracking the days so that expansion can be held at the beginning of 2020.

K. Gopalaiah has said that the newly-elected MLAs will take oath on Friday.

There are 12 assembly seats won by BJP in by-polls. Yediyurappa had promised ministership for those who joined BJP after leaving Congress and JD(S), sources said.

Karnataka Rural Development Minister K S Eshwarappa earlier today said that all 12 rebel MLAs who won in the state by-polls on BJP ticket will get a ministerial berth in BS Yediyurappa-led government.
