Parallel to the welcome rallies being planned for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his five day visit to the United States, several other groups are expected to hold or plan to hold rallies protesting against his trip.
A report has stated that the Kashmiri American Council (KAC) will protest against Prime Minister Modi's meeting with U.S. President Barak Obama at the White House in Washington on September 29 to condemn India's alleged 'brutalities' against Kashmiris.
It maybe recalled that Kashmiri American Council Chairman Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai was arrested in 2011 after he admitted to being a spy for Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
The KAC has reportedly said that it will use the medium of the protest to remind President Obama of his promise to resolve the Kashmir issue.
As per the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Kashmiri American Council is in reality run by elements of the Pakistani Government, including representatives from the ISI.
Reportedly, rallies were also taken out in the town of Skardu in Gilgit-Baltistan to condemn Prime Minister Modi's address during the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.
Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), which claims to be a non-profit organization, has already announced its plan to protest Prime Minister Modi's visit to the United States.
