Kashmiri pandits today met Home Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss the rehabilitation and relief of the displaced community. They also demanded the setting up of an SIT (Special Investigation Team) on the mass killings of pandits during their exodus from the valley.

Vijay, a Kashmiri who went for the meeting, said, "We have thanked Rajnath Singh for including Kashmiri Pandits' issue in their manifesto. He has said he will consult us again when the talks of rehabilitation rise."

The members of the displaced community also demanded enhancement in relief and an economical package in Delhi, NCR or Jammu.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh had recently asked officials in his ministry to work on a plan to ensure Kshmiri pandits' safe return to the Valley. Reports are also saying assistance would also be provided to the families to rebuild their homes in Kashmir once again.
