A group of displaced Kashmiri Pandits on Sunday held a protest in the national capital over the proposal to create separate townships for them in Srinagar.
The protesters denounced both the Central and the state governments for taking a unilateral decision without consulting them.
'I protest, 25 years of exile, 25 years of denial' read a huge banner behind the protesters.
"I am protesting today against the method the government is adopting where they are not involving Kashmiri Pandits in the process of any deliberations that happen for our return. So we protest till the time you do not involve Kashmiri Pandits in the return. We are not going to accept any formula," said a protestor.
The protesters wanted reopening of prosecution cases against all those involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
The government plans to resettle tens of thousands of Kashmiri Pandits in three new townships in Kashmir.
However, separatists have opposed the government's plan saying the move will change the state's social fabric.
