Indian ace shuttler Parupalli Kashyap produced a rich vein of form as he thrashed Artem Pochtarev of Ukrain in the men's singles event to advance to the second round of the German Grand Prix Gold.
The 29-year-old swept aside his Ukrainian opponent 21-9, 21-9 in the one-sided opening contest that lasted for just 24 minutes.
With the win, Kashyap has set up a second round clash with Ireland's Joshua Magee.
Meanwhile, sixth-seed Kidambi Srikanth recovered from a shaky start to brush aside Japan's Takuma Ueda 12-21, 21-18, 21-11 to progress to the next round.
