Indian ace shuttler Parupalli Kashyap cruised past his Dutch opponent Erik Meijs in straight sets to advance to the second round of the World Championships in Jakarta on Monday.
Commonwealth Games champion Kashyap overcame Meijs 21-17, 21-10 in a contest that lasted just 31 minutes at the Istora Senayan. The tenth seed will next face Vietnam's Nguyen Tien Minh.
