All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson and former Union Minister Rajiv Shukla on Sunday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Telangana caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of making false promises to people.

Addressing the media, Shukla said, "The upcoming polls are going to be very crucial. The Congress has created Telangana. Rao cheated the Congress party and Telangana public by saying he will merge the TRS party in the Congress and he will make a Schedule Caste leader as a Chief Minister. But he failed to do so. Rao in Telangana and Prime Minister Modi in Delhi are making false promises."

"KCR promised to give one lakh jobs for the unemployed but he has given employment to his own family members. At present, 20 lakh people are unemployed in the state. Telangana stands among the top-3 in unemployment. KCR has cheated each and every community in Telangana. There is no women minister in KCR's cabinet. There are no doctors in the hospitals. There is no establishment in the government sectors and developed private sectors. KCR has closed four thousand government schools and encouraged the private schools," he added.

Shukla further claimed that there is a nexus and understanding between Prime Minister Modi and Rao as they have a similar mindset.

"Both have the same kind of mindset. Rao supports Prime Minister Modi in Parliament. Even at the time of note ban and the GST, Rao had supported the Prime Minister. Whatever Prime Minister Modi says Rao supports it," he said.

Shukla further said that the Congress would emerge victorious in the December 7 assembly polls by winning 80 seats and will form the next government in the state.
