Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday met Delhi Police Commissioner B.S. Bassi and submitted a CD of the recorded footage where BJP leader Sher Singh Dagar has tried to bribe his party MLAs.
Kejriwal met Bassi with his party colleague Manish Sisodia, and requested the police to take Dagar into custody.
"We have submitted the copy of the CD of the sting operation along with a formal complaint and have handed it over to the police commissioner. We have requested him to lodge an F.I.R. and arrest Dagar and question him," said Kejriwal.
"Dagar has been saying that he has done this on the orders of the high command. So, we need to find out who this high command is," he added.
Kejriwal had earlier said that Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung needed to revise his letter to President Pranab Mukherjee and tell him that the BJP shouldn't be invited to form a government in Delhi in the wake of the sting operation conducted by his party in which a BJP leader, Sher Singh Dagar, had tried to bribe AAP MLAs.
Earlier on Monday, the AAP had released a recorded footage of Dagar trying to bribe its MLAs.
Delhi has been under the President's rule since February 17 this year after Kejriwal resigned over the non-introduction of the Jan Lokpal Bill in the state assembly.
