Kevin James has been cast in comedy flick 'The True Memoirs Of An International Assassin.'
The Merced Media and PalmStar Media project will be helmed by Jeff Wadlow from a Black List script by Jeff Morris.
James will play the role of a mild-mannered accountant and would-be author who after getting mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story, tires to escape his sudden celebrity status, but gets entangled in an assassination plot, Deadline.com reported.
The film will be produced by Todd Garner with PalmStar Media's Kevin Frakes, Raja Collins, Justin Begnaud and Media Media's Raj Brinder Singh, while Hey Eddie's Jeff Sussman and PalmStar Media's Mark Fasano and Buddy Patrick act as exec producers.
Garner said that the role would highlight a very different side of James.
