Reacting to the controversial Muslims must not eat beef remark made by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, former Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Shahid Siddiqui said Saturday that this kind of language is a shame on the country.
"A strong stand should be taken against Haryana Chief Minister Khattar and he should be told to hush up. His language is not acceptable," Siddiqui told ANI here.
Khattar had told the Indian Express in an interview that 'If Muslims want to continue living in India, they must give up consuming beef', which drew the ire of politicians.
