Prolific Indian batsman Virat Kohli, who produced a dazzling batting display during his side's five-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in Asia Cup on Saturday, has received a flurry of praises from Pakistani legends.

The right-handed star batsman remained calm under tense situation in his 49-run knock as he thwarted fast bowler Mohammad Amir's brilliant spell to help his side cross the victory target at the Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.

Lavishing praise at Kohli's work ethics, former skipper Javed Miandad insisted that the Indian batsmen were hungry for runs and the vice -captain led by example, the Express Tribune reported.

Describing Kohli as a 'fine' batsman, legendary batsman Hanif Mohammad insisted that the aspiring Indian cricketers were getting inspiration from him.

Echoing similar views, Mohammad Yousuf said that the 27-year-old was a blend of talent, temperament and technique, which makes him successful in every condition.

He added that Kohli had shown how to bat on bowling friendly pitches, insisting that Pakistan batsmen could only perform well on batting pitches.
