Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists that his teammates must cope with an emotionally charged atmosphere to win their clash against Liverpool, because of the 25th Hillsborough anniversary coming up next week.
The skipper said that although they know that the clash would be held in an emotionally electrified atmosphere, but they are going to Anfield to do a job, with an aim to come home with three points.
According to Manchester City, Kompany also insisted that their rivals Liverpool deserve to be on the top of the league table and have City's full respect following a stunning nine-game winning streak.
Kompany said that they know that the City squad is playing against a very good team and they know how hard the win is going to be, but they still will be in a confident mood while playing against Liverpool.
The 25th Hillsborough anniversary is reportedly just 48 hours after the much-anticipated match and the outcome promises to have a huge bearing on the outcome of the title race.
Liverpool currently lead the Premier League table, with 74 points, four points adrift of third placed City, but Manuel Pellegrini's men still have two games at hand, the report added.
