Jammu and Kashmir's sports council has announced the launch of a multi-purpose athletic club offering a healthy experience to fitness freaks.
A project initiated with an aim to find solutions for a business turnaround and revival in revenue.
The sports council has set up a health club cum gym in Kulgam district with all the modern equipment . It offers flexibility in serving its clients to best serve their needs. The club is located in the vicinity of Kulgam sports stadium.
Club authorities said trainers aim at helping clients achieve their goals in minimum possible time.
"Since the stadium has been set up here, there is a facility of gym here as well. Many people come here including children , youth and aged. We get their registration done. They get on month registration here," said in-charge of the health club Firdous Ahmed.
Kulgam, which is 70 kilometres away from the summer capital of Srinagar, is considered to be among the backward districts of the valley.

Setting up of "a state of the art" health club comes as a huge success in a highly competitive business and has been set up at a cost of three million rupees.
A thrilled resident said the fitness club would make people choose a healthy lifestyle.
"The youth gets very happy to be here as exercise is very important, as it is said 'a sound mind rests in a sound body," Ashiq Ahmed, a resident said.
