The last Shahi Snan of the on-going Simhastha Kumbhamela has begun at Kushavarta in Tryambakeshwar near Nasik in Maharashtra.
Royal procession of Shaiva Sadhus and Mahantas started from Neel Parbat early this morning. Around 10,000 sadhus and mahantas, including Naga sadhus, participated in the procession.
Pancha Dashanam Akhada, which led the procession reached Kushavarta at 4 o'clock and started the Shahi Snan, which is expected to continue till midday.
After that, Kushavarta will be opened for other devotees. Devotees have already started taking holy bath at other ghats on Godavari in Tryambakshwar.
