Czech tennis ace Petra Kvitova will attempt to win the women's singles at Wimbledon for the second time when she faces Eugenie Bouchard, who is the first Canadian to play in a major singles final, on Saturday.

Sixth seed Kvitova has not reached a Grand Slam final since she defeated Maria Sharapova to win the Wimbledon title in 2011.

According to the BBC, 13th seed Bouchard, who reached the last four of the Australian and French Opens this year, is yet to drop a set.

If Bouchard, the 2012 girls' champion, is successful she would become the youngest Grand Slam winner since Maria Sharapova's victory in the 2006 US Open final aged 19.

Bouchard said that she is looking forward to having her toughest match at Wimbledon yet, adding that she is going to go out and really just try to go for it and take her chances.

The Canadian also said that she knows that she will have really tough opposition, adding that that is what one has to expect in a Grand Slam final.

Meanwhile, Kvitova said that she learned a lot in 2011, adding that it was a big surprise for her that she was in the newspapers and everything.

Kvitova said that she did not know before how it felt but she is used to it now and she knows probably how to handle it.

Kvitova also said that Bouchard is playing a very solid game, adding that she beat the Canadian for the first time last year in Toronto, but it's a long time ago and this is totally different.
