Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, who is on a three-day visit to India, today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in the national capital.
Earlier in the day, Wickramasinghe also met Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, Anand Sharma and former prime minister Manmohan Singh.
Upon arriving in India, Wickremesinghe was greeted by H.E. Y.K. Sinha, High Commissioner of India to Sri Lanka, H.E. Chitranganee Wagiswara, the High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India and state of officials at the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The Sri Lankan Prime Minister is also slated to meet President Pranab Mukherjee, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and some other Ministers.
Wickremesinghe will address the opening plenary of the India Economic Summit in New Delhi tomorrow.
World Economic Forum is hosting the annual summit which is expected to be attended by various business and political leaders including top policymakers and CEO.
