Murder accused Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius' lawyers are taking legal action over the footage that emerged on Saturday of the athlete re-enacting the night he shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Pistorius' attorney Brian Webber said that they are busy taking action against the Australian media house that has the video, adding that they have no right to broadcast the video.
According to Sport24, the promotional video by an Australian current affairs programme displays Pistorius walking on his stumps with an imaginary gun in his hand and in another scene, the athlete is seen carrying a woman out of his bathroom.
The website for the current affairs show said that the video was never before seen footage of Pistorius re-enacting the night he killed Reeva that convinced a top forensic expert he is innocent.
National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Nathi Ncube said that it was not commenting on the video, which was scheduled to air on Sunday.
Pistorius's family spokesperson Anneliese Burgess said that the legal team was investigating the matter and have asked for urgent clarification from the Australian channel.
Pistorius is facing a murder charge for shooting Steenkamp dead on Valentine's Day last year, which he claims he did after mistaking his girlfriend for an intruder in their home, the report added.
