Dick Smith, who was known as the 'godfather of make-up' died at the age of 92.
The Academy Award winner began his career in television and came to prominence with this work on Francis Ford Coppola's 'The Godfather' in 1972, the BBC reported.
Smith's friend Rick Baker tweeted that the master was gone and his friend and mentor Smith was no longer with them and the world will not be the same.
Baker, who worked as Smith's assistant in 'The Exorcist' said that the legendary make-up artist took make-up to a whole new level.
