Australian national cricket team coach Darren Lehmann has said that a Boxing Day Test match is equivalent of the AFL Grand Final and one can never forget it.

According to News.com.au, Lehmann said that when one walks down the race at the MCG and on to the ground, the roar of the crowd is amazing.

The footballers who grace the field on their biggest day are right as the hairs on the back of your neck do stand up, Lehmann said.

The players who walk on to the MCG during this Boxing Day have a chance to be a special part of history, Lehmann added.

Predictions are they may play in front of the biggest crowd ever to watch cricket in Australia, beating the 90,800 who saw the West Indies play at the MCG in February 1961, he further said.

Lehmann also revealed that it would be particularly special for Chris Rogers and George Bailey, who are yet to play a Boxing Day Test.
