Australian head coach Darren Lehmann has said that the country's Ashes aspirants have a final chance to impress selectors this week in the domestic games across the nation this week in the lead up to the first Ashes Test at the Gabba from November 21.
Lehmann spent last week in Adelaide for Queensland's Sheffield Shield clash against South Australia, John Inverarity watched Tasmania's Alex Doolan post a to against New South Wales against at Blacktown Oval while Rod Marsh saw leg-spinner Fawad Ahmed bloom in Melbourne.
According to News.com.au, Lehmann said that the selectors would be scrutinising the Ashes hopefuls during the domestic games, adding that it will also give them an opportunity to properly watch and analyse domestic cricket as he believes that they have not much of that in the past.
Batsmen Usman Khawaja, Michael Klinger, Shaun Marsh and incumbent Test off-spinner Nathan Lyon will all get second chances for Queensland, Australia A and New South Wales respectively this week, the report added.
