German international Lewis Holtby has said that his Tottenham Hotspur team reminds him of Bundesliga's Bayern Munich and that there is competition for places within the team that has a really good, strong squad.

According to the Mirror, Andre Villas-Boas' second-placed men have started the season in impressive form, with eight wins from nine matches in all competitions.

Lewis Holtby expressed that his Tottenham side are determined to beat Chelsea this weekend and prove they are genuine title contenders, the report said.

Spurs have also kept eight clean sheets so far and midfielder Holtby says a top four finish is now the minimum expectation, the report added.

The north Londoners did lose to current leaders Arsenal earlier this month, but are still level with their bitter rivals on 12 points after five matches, the report further said.

Holtby said that the team was aiming for very high things, adding that they wanted to get in the top four and to play in the Champions League, which was their main aim.

He said that Bayern Munich are the same as Tottenham because they too, are always patient and all the players work for the team.
