A New York-based consumer report has listed Lexus, Toyota and Acura as the top most reliable cars for 2014.
According to the auto reliability survey of Yonkers, which predicts the reliability of cars and trucks based on a survey of subscribers who own vehicles from current or prior model years, seven of the top 10 brands in the 2014 survey are Japanese, Fox News reports.
Three non-Japanese brands, Audi, Volvo and GMC, have cracked the top 10 positions in the reliability chart, the report added.
The magazine announced that it does not recommend that consumers shall buy 2014 models of the Honda Accord V6 and Nissan Altima sedans because of poor reliability scores.
The Toyota Camry and Toyota RAV4 also won't be recommended as they flunked a frontal crash test from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the report added.
