Lieutenant Kiran Shekhawat, who lost her life when the Indian Navy's Dornier aircraft crashed south-west off the Goa coast earlier this week, was accorded a guard of honour here on Sunday.
Lieutenant Shekhawat was one of the two naval aviators who went missing after their India-made Dornier surveillance plane crashed.
The body of Lt Shekhawat was recovered from the fuselage earlier on Thursday.
The body of the second missing Navy officer Lt Abhinay Nagori was recovered the next day.
The aircraft was on a routine sortie with a three member crew on-board when the controlling tower lost contact with it at 10.08 pm on Tuesday. Preliminary findings reportedly indicate that the plane had developed some technical snag causing it to crash in the sea.
