Lindsay Lohan was not present at the premiere of her upcoming flick 'The Canyons' at the Venice Film Festival.
However, director Paul Schrader seemed relieved at the film festival, saying the he is 'free man' now, the Independent reported.
Schrader said that he had been held hostage by his own choice of a very talented yet unpredictable actress, for the last 16 months.
