Liverpool has reportedly warned Luis Suarez-hungry Real Madrid that they would be wasting their time if they think they can make a deadline-dodging last-minute move for the controversial striker.
According to the Mirror, even though the Anfield giants are bracing themselves for a transfer bid from Real Madrid for the Uruguayan, they have again insisted they will not sell the striker.
The report further said that Real is expecting to use the 40 million pounds, which will enter their stash if they sell forward Karim Benzema to Arsenal, to fund a move for Suarez.
However, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers remains insistent that they will not sell Suarez as there is not enough time left to secure a replacement for the player, saying that he cannot consider letting Suarez leave, even if he wants to go.
Backing Rodgers stance, club owner John Henry has also stated that even if the Bernabeu side comes calling with a massive offer for Suarez, he will not accept as with only eleven days left for the transfer window to close, it would be difficult to replace Suarez with a player of equal quality.
However, the report added, if Real makes their long-anticipated bid, then there is no doubt that Suarez will agitate strongly to go and force Liverpool to sell him to the Spanish giants.
