Liverpool's players have joined hands in a bid to convince striker Luis Suarez to stay at Anfield, as the Uruguayan player's desire to move to Arsenal still does not affect popularity in the club's dressing room.
According to The Sun, even club player Stewart Downing is desperately hoping that the Londoners refuse to meet the Merseysiders' 55 million pounds valuation of Suarez, with Liverpool already rejecting an increased bid of 40,000,001 pounds for Suarez from the Gunners this week.
Downing said that it was important for them to keep hold of Suarez as he was a very good player and the player had some good discussions with the manager, which will remain private.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers also said that nothing had changed because Suarez was still very much a part of the group and he had been working hard without issues.
