Families of passengers flying aboard the MH370 are crying foul over recent revelations that the underwater pings, reported to be from the missing Malaysia Airline flight's black-box, are false.
Amid wide uproar and criticism, relatives of passengers have expressed deep condemnation against Malaysian airlines and the government as no intensive investigation has been consequential.
Selamat Osman, family member of a passenger on the ill-fated jet, said that he has been informed by the airlines about the doubts and clarifications regarding the pings, and expressed his disappointment that the search for the aircraft has not been optimal yet.
According to News.com.au, Australian authorities discounted an area that had been considered the most likely zone as the triangle of water in the Indian Ocean was seen as the prime area largely as a result of the acoustic pings picked up last month, and thought to be from the missing plane's black box.
Responding to widespread outcries against the revelations, oceanographer Dr.Erik Van Sebille said that deep ocean research was a difficult task as the ocean is a cacophony of different sounds.
He also added that there was no team in the world that could have done a better job as Navies know their sounds in the ocean further suggesting that searching a vast amount of ocean floor was a painstakingly slow task.
