The controversial YouTube star, Logan Paul, has announced his comeback to the social media.

Posting a teaser on Twitter, Paul wrote "The Return" as the caption. The 25-second clip ended with the word "Tomorrow".

The 22-year-old took a break from the platform after he was globally condemned for showing a dead body in one of his videos shot in Aokigahara - a Japanese woodland, also known as the "suicide forest".

On January 1, Paul did apologised for the video, while defending its creation as a way to "raise awareness for suicide and suicide prevention", a comment that was quickly bashed on social media.

That prompted another apology from Paul the following day, this time on video.

"I have made a severe and continuous lapse in my judgment, and I don't expect to be forgiven. I'm simply here to apologize", a teary-eyed Paul said.

After that Paul tweeted that he was "taking time to reflect" and would not be making any new vlogs "for now".

Paul is one of the most popular YouTube personalities in the world, with more than 16 million subscribers to his channel.
