The swearing-in ceremony of 16th Lok Sabha MPs has witnessed some interesting trends today.

Devjibhai Fatehpura, BJP MP from Surendranagar, Gujarat, performed a traditional dance before entering parliament. He was also dressed in traditional Gujarati attire when he showed up for his oath taking ceremony.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and senior BJP leader L K Advani were also administered their oaths today. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi too was sworn-in earlier today.

The swearing-in has taken place on Thursday, a day after it was initially supposed to happen. The parliament was adjourned yesterday out of respect for Union Minister Gopinath Munde, who died in a car accident in New Delhi on Tuesday.
