London's Metropolitan Police on Friday confirmed that they had neutralised a second active terror plot in the last 24 hours, with the arrest of six people.
Media reports said that the six persons were taken into custody in London and in Willesden and Kent in south east England.
A woman, who was a part of the alleged plot, was shot at by the police and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital under police supervision.
Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu was quoted, as saying that he believed the terror threats have been contained for the time being.
