London terror attack: Who are the attackers?

Metropolitan Police is leaving no stone unturned in finding the details of the three terrorists that rampaged through central London killing seven and injuring 48 people. London Bridge attack is the third terror attack on British soil in less than three months and Scotland yard has declined to reveal any details or information concerning the London terror attack in strak contrast to the last month's Manchester bombing when the minute details of the explosives used and the information related to the bomber along with photographs were leaked to the media .

The information that was leaked by the media obstructed the investigation process .

This time the investigative agency is keeping information about the identity of the three attackers and the details under wraps .About 12 people have been arrested at multiple addresses in Barking, east London on Sunday following a seies of armed raids by British counter terrorism police, CNN reported

Metropolitan Police twitter Officers from the Met's Counter Terrorism Command investigating the London Bridge terror attack entered two further addresses - one in Newham and another in Barking.

This is a fast-moving investigation and we have significant resources deployed both to the investigation and to the visible patrols that people will be seeing as they wake up this morning. We will have increased patrols in many areas by the police, and these will as you would expect include armed officers," Metropolitan Police Commissioner, Cressida Dick, said in a statement .

"Our priority now is to work with our colleagues in the National Counter Terrorism Policing Network and also with the intelligence agencies and other security services to establish more details about the individuals who carried out the attack and the background to it,Dick added.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack on Sunday night, although they provided no evidence for their involvement or details for the attack.

A memorial has been planned for 6pm Monday in the capital's Potters Field Park to commemorate those affected .

Condemning the brutal attacks at the London Bridge and nearby, British Prime Minister Theresa May has said that there is "far too much tolerance of extremism in our country".

She said that election will go ahead as planned on Thursday and the national campaigning will resume on Monday.

Asserting that the country is experiencing a new trend of brutal terror, May proposed to review counter-terrorism laws, and suggested longer sentences for some of the offences.

"We will come together and, united, we will take on our enemies, she says. And that's it. We'll post a full summary shortly," The Guardian quoted May as saying.

Highlighting that this was the third terror attack Britain has experienced in three months, after the Westminster and the Manchester Arena attacks, May praised the efforts with which police responded to these terror attacks.
